Upon buying David Sibley's Guide to (North American)Birds, and reading during vacation in Maine this summer, a passion was awakened on observing birds. Interestingly, I find I never paid much attention and can't identify even the common birds around, although with practice I am getting better. I am keeping a journal of my finds, I picked up David Sibley's "The Sibley Guide to Bird Life & Behavior" and am starting to read through this. Very fascinating; I do so love to learn new things. I am also interested in finding a local group/base to be able to hook up with; likely through the National Audobon Society.
I will be posting pictures of the birds I have decent pictures of, as photography is another amateur passion of mine, with most recent finds at the top.
