Welcome to my second career/hobby. I first became interested in marine biology as a career, now is when I am picking it up. I have been caring for freshwater cichlids for approx. 7 years, and finally started saltwater after much research 3 years ago. I have started several tanks, and wished I had done them differently, and have culminated in my 120 reef. This is a good size for what I want, is enjoyable without being too much work.

I am taking a strong interest in formal coral identification, I have compiled information from a reef central thread on others with Eric Borneman as well as several of my own attempts. My marine reference library is growing fast.

I am looking into small scale coral farm in my basement, so will keep the propagation page up to document this if it occurs (still a ways off).
